What is The Gospel?
The gospel is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. It is the grand narrative of creation, fall, redemption and restoration ordained by God and orchestrated through the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. Christ’s crucifixion is the heart of the gospel. His resurrection is the power of the gospel. His ascension is the glory of the gospel.
Christ’s death is a substitutionary and atoning sacrifice to God for our sins. It satisfies the demands of God’s holy justice and appeases His holy wrath. It also demonstrates His mysterious love and reveals His amazing grace. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name by which people can be saved. At the heart of all sound doctrine is the cross of Jesus Christ and the infinite privilege that redeemed sinners have in glorifying God because of what He has accomplished. Therefore, we want all that takes place in our hearts, ministries, and church to proceed from and be related to the gospel.

It's All About the Gospel...
The gospel is about more than just individual salvation. It is the good news that God is forming a people from all nations, tribes, and tongues, to be his covenant people. It is the declaration that God has done something in Christ, by which, all things really are being made new.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is different from every other world religion and philosophy because it is not good advice, it is good news. It is not a list of new and better rules by which man can work his way to God or some form of ultimate peace. The gospel is the announcement that in Jesus Christ, God has come to us and accomplished everything necessary for redemption, transformation, and the restoration of all that sin has destroyed.
